Larry Wayne JR Chipper Jones was the first overall pick in the 1990 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves.Since that time Chipper has become one of the best third basemen to ever play baseball.Chipper is also if not the best switch hitter to ever play the game of baseball he is very close to the best ever  at the plate as a switch hitter.His as a switch hitter are a 304 average with four hundred and fifty nine home runs also Chipper has a total of two thousand and six hundred and thirty six hits in his career.Chipper also has hit five hundred and twenty eight doubles since he made his big league debut on September 11th 1993.
Chipper has also has won a world series back in 95.
Chipper Jones is one of many reasons how i became a Braves fan i thought him being a switch hitter was very cool and i enjoyed watching him and the Braves play  i became a diehard fan back when the games where on TBS and have been a fan ever since last thing Chipper if this is your last season i would like to say Thanks for being a great player person for the Braves

2nd string Qb guys who are free agents that we need to consider Josh Johnson Tampa bay Vince Young Philadelphia Brady Quinn Denver David Garrard
2nd offensive line center Todd McClure as a backup Chris Myers as a starter at center Tony Moll start Joesph Barksdale our 3rd rounder have Moll as a backup and sign Adam Snyder
3rd Cornerbacks try and sign Tracy Porter Cortland Finnegan sign as back up Chris Carr and Rashean Mathis
4th spots that need depth D end  resign Matt Shaughnessy and sign guys to try to earn jobs like Derrick Harvey William Hayes
5th linebackers Kirk Morrison
and those are guys i would not be shocked if we looked at or signed some of them as free agents 2nd string Qb and the Cornerbacks are spots that need upgraded along with center and right tackle if we do not think Barksdale is ready

my list of players to keep a eye on at the NFL combine

1st guy to keep a guy on is Cal WR Marvin Jones Jones is a player who i see as a sleeper and a good showing at the combine will put him on more teams draft boards 2nd guy to keep a eye on is Illinois D end Whitney Mercilus at 6 foot 4 and 265 pounds Mercilus in my book is a guy who is a one year wonder this past season was the best year of college football he had as a Illini player i see Mercilus as a guy who is a tweener   in if asked to play in a 3 4 can he switch from end to a linebacker stance and be able to cover tight ends and backs out of the backfield time will tell i see Mercilus as a guy who could drop into the 3rd round on draft day due to having one good season 3rd player is Cal End Trevor Guyton Guyton was a good player for Cal on the d line for the a good amount of his playing days as a Golden Bear parts of his game remind me a lot of former Cal end Cameron Jordan in that both are strong at the point of attack and can overwhelm you with their strength Guyton has played both the nose tackle spot and the five tech at Cal i love Guytons toughness for the NFL 

a fans take on the Atlanta Braves starting pitchers going into spring training

First off getting starters Jair Jurrjens and Tommy Hanson back from injury is  huge they combined for 24 wins between the two and having them back in the rotation along with veteran Tim Hudson Brandon Beachy who won seven games in 2011 and Hudson who won sixteen games in 2011 for the Braves.i think our fifth starter is going to be one of our guys that has a bright future in front of him in right hander Julio Teheran who got his feet wet in the majors last season when injures hit guys like Jurrjens and Hanson.i can see us giving the phillies a run for the Nl East if Hanson can take his pitching up to another level and Beachy keeps improving and can win at least 13 to 4 wins along with 25 to 28 wins from Tim Hudson and Teheran gets 11 wins i see the pitching being our best shot at giving us a chance to win the East and our bullpen is just a little bit bettter then what they did last season i see us winning 92 wins to 90
